A lifelong "nature geek", I have spent many glorious hours (and a few grumpy ones!) in the forests, fields, and wetlands of Ohio. There is always a treat to behold for the looking: seasonal splendor of spring wildflowers or autumn leaves, the rush of a cascading stream, or the geometric patterns of tree bark or rock fissure. I hope to use photography to share these experiences, tell stories, and inspire others to spend some time Deep in the Woods... and find treasures of their own!
Immersion in the natural world is the only way to know our deep connectedness to the other members of life's web. Living only within the human-created environments of our modern world, it is too easy to see ourselves as separate from Nature and its patterns, rhythms, and laws.
We are not.
